About Georgia Studies
This course examines and analyses political, economic, social, demographic and cultural characteristics of antebellum Georgia to the rise of modern Georgia. Emphasis will be placed on Georgia’s role before, during, and after the Civil War, while focusing on well-known and influential Georgians. In the second half of the year we will cover the history of Georgia beginning with the 20th century through present day. There will also be a strong concentration on personal finance and the economy.
