Meet Your Caring Counselor
I am excited to begin my first full year as a Caring Counselor at Idlewood Elementary School. I have been working with children and adolescents in the school setting for over ten years. I am a native of East Durham, NC. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Winston-Salem State University, located in Winston-Salem, NC; and my Masters in Counseling Education and Human Development from Radford University, located in Radford, VA. In 2003 I received my License in Professional Counseling.
My favorite thing about being a Caring Counselor is working with Ms. Wright to ensure that children are socially, emotionally and mentally healthy so they can perform their best academically. My hobbies include reading, watching football, dining out, listening to music and traveling to NC to spend time with my family and God children.
Now that you know a little about me, I would like to know more about you. I am always willing to take time to engage the parents of our students. My door is always open. I look forward to working with you to ensure that your child has a positive experience at Idlewood Elementary School.
