What is Edmodo?
  • Edmodo is a social learning network for teachers, students, and parents.
  • Edmodo provides web-based tools to facilitate communication and collaboration.
  • Teachers can share resources with their classes, give online quizzes, administer polls, and even facilitate blogging on various instructional topics with the students.
  • Edmodo accounts are FREE!

DeKalb County School District’s Edmodo Domain
The DeKalb County School District has its own Edmodo web domain that connects schools and teachers within the Edmodo social learning network.  

The web domain for DCSD is:
VERY IMPORTANT!  To ensure a secure social learning network environment used for educational purposes, workstations or devices using the DCSD local area network will only allow users to log into Edmodo using the DCSD Edmodo web domain listed above.   This means all accounts used on DCSD workstations and devices must be registered to an appropriate school or department.

I’m a DCSD Staff Member!  How Can I get an Edmodo Account?

      Any DCSD staff member can create a free Edmodo account.

I already have an Edmodo Account!  How do I connect to the DCSD community?

      You will need your school’s Edmodo Code.  Please see your Media Specialist for this information.

I’m a DCSD Student!  How Can I get an Edmodo Account?
  • Students can only create Edmodo accounts if the teachers invites them to join a group.
  • Students can post messages to the entire group.  Teachers can moderate visibility of these posts.
  • Students can not send private messages to individual students.  They can only send private messages to the teacher.
  • Students can only join a group if the teachers invite them by sharing the group code.  

VERY IMPORTANT!  Parent Permission is required for ages 18 and under.  Please click here to download a Parent Permission Letter that can be sent home to parents
