Language Arts
We work with DOL (daily oral language) each day. Sometimes students correct sentences from the IWB (interactive white board) or they complete a Write Right!.
We have completed the study of the 4 types of sentences: Declarative, Interrogative, Exclamatory, and Imperative. These types of sentences will be on the CRCT. The students need to know the sentence type and how to punctuate each type of sentence. We are now studying pronouns their antecedents.
We are continuing to study different spelling patterns. Spelling packets are due each Thursday and spelling tests are every Thursday.

In math we have completed chapter 19 on fractions and we are now working on chapter 20 -adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators.
