Science is a way of knowing about the world based on evidence and logical analysis. As American society enters the 21st century, science and technology have an increasingly large impact on our lives. Today's students will make decisions about new findings once they become adult consumers and voters. They will more wisely evaluate the benefits and dangers of these developments if they are armed with knowledge rather than ignorance. The purpose of these classes is to prepare my students to be responsible, successful citizens by furthering their understanding of scientific methods and knowledge.
